Music is ordered sound, while noise is disordered sound. Both are mixes of sound waves at different frequencies. In music, the component frequencies are discrete and rational, with a discernible dominant frequency. Through my work, I explore additive synthesis, granular synthesis, and FM synthesis, where the frequencies of one signal are modified relative to others.

This boundary, where order meets chaos, is the heart of my artistic exploration. From this experimentation, noise emerges—a precise moment where music transforms into noise or noise transforms into music.

My approach is deeply rooted in a mathematical theory based on stochastic processes. These processes, which are essentially random yet follow certain probabilistic laws, allow me to model and predict the complex interactions between different sound waves. By applying stochastic modeling, I delve into the randomness inherent in noise and the structure within music, uncovering a hidden harmony that bridges the two.

This theory guides my exploration, revealing that even within the apparent chaos of noise, there is an underlying order waiting to be discovered.

Matrix Equation indulges in an evidential brooding angst, shifting between abstraction and the kind of elevated introspection carefully harvested over the years. With dramatic frontage in parts, blasts of boisterous energy and machine mayhem, its deployment of surprise, shifting focus and spontaneity operate in an assured statement.

Splintered beats and a foreboding sense of tension give way to a more DJ friendly logic of instinctive introductions and codas of gradual builds and breakdowns.

This strong and accomplished EP has rightly earned its place in the Touchin’ Bass catalogue but is also worthy of attention from outside of the usual territory.

Das Unbehagen in der Noise - Delusion of the Fury

With an eye on the most heterogeneous approaches that emerged with Noise, Krautrock, No Wave, LAFMS, Japanoise, ... DELUSION OF THE FURY devours, grinds, digests, and expels a vinyl exquisitely cooked from different sound sources beyond any genre. Sharp guitars, frenetically stripped-down rhythms, voices screaming into the beyond, and subtle electronic noises feverishly ENFLAME, CONVULSE, and EXPLODE far from any territory explored by the latest radar calibrated by a human. As the planet writhes, growing increasingly deaf, DELUSION OF THE FURY will be the bonfire for some survivors.
